Lily licks June
with filament & anther
& stigma
as her spotted
flushed petals
unfurl & curl out
& down
thickly
a backdrop
of stars
vibrating
in the swelter
of early summer.

Luscious! I started reading this without looking at the poet – and I knew it was yours!!
Thank you, Nancy!
nice description
Luscious was the word I was going to say, too!!
Delightfully naughty! And nicely done.
Thank you, All!
“vibrating
in the swelter”–love these words, especially.
