Living in a rural Dead Zone
Three days now
I have had no phone service
and no internet.
I love the solitude
at my house, its view
overlooking Dale Hollow Lake.
But anyhow,
when every service
fails, I get
annoyed without a platitude
to fall back on and you
died for Heaven’s sake
in 2010.

I remember those times! The beauty and the pain of living the country life.
The beauty is worth the pain.
