Lost at Sea
Its power beckons me
Glowing horizon
Kissing blue sea
Mysteries beneath
Open air above
Just to touch its vastness
Is to let go
Salt on skin
I’m going in –
The waves lap at my toes
Lap at my toes
Lap at my toes

Love the rhythm and emotion of this poem!
such evocative repetition
Really enjoyed this one. Thanks for sharing.
Love the ending. It makes me feel and hear the waves.
The repetition at the end just keeps the poem going, even after words stop. “Just to touch its vastness/Is to let go” – love this line!
I love “glowing horizon/kissing blue sea”! I also enjoy how the last lines of the poem repeat like the tide ebbing and flowing.
Thank you all!
I agree with the others, the repetition at the end was a superb touch!
