meadow’s lark
cool break of
morning. the
meadow stirs
and its eyes
have all the
stalking…. there
a fallow,
warm deer snorts-
fog rising.

you’re a master
this poem is happening all around me as I awake
meadow stir, eyes stalking, fallow….great images perfectly placed
poem is beautiful haiku type image and solution. I wasn’t sure whether you were using “fallow” as a description of body color or saying it was a “Fallow Deer”, a specific species of deer with palmated antlers, native to Europe, and this thought distracts me, but a stong poem like your others

This is gorgeous. So beautiful in it’s spareness, with its deep impact.
