Now and Now and Now
This is all I want now
a contemplative moment
a book deep as a cave
a still body that can simply rest
This is all I want now
a quiet mind, unfettered
the end to all my ceaseless quests
for love,
for peace,
for passion
Now and now and even now
let me be still
and quiet
and present
Now and now and now
let me just be here
let me live in the paradox of this now moment
that never is and never was

” a book as deep as a cave ”
Oh my !
And the simple idea that now doesn’t exist made whole at the end as paradox is brilliant.
Great shape too.
love the white space and repetition
I also love the “book as deep as a cave” line. The theme of this poem resonates with me so much too – the desire for silence and solitude and rest.
True and evocative of its subject! Now is the only refuge.
I love the Buddhist feel of the poem. This gets at how impossible it is to define “now.” I want to live in this poem.
