now i hope you know . . .
i had some people in my life
but i never showed how much i loved them
some kinda fear of intimacy
standing naked
feelings
raw
&
revealed
cellulite and all no Botox could hide
the real deal
flaws and all
deep mirrors of my soul
yes
you meant alot to me
more than i could show & tell
so now i hope you know . . .
those of you, all of you, on the other side
you bring me smiles . . .
memories
crying out loud laughter . . .
wishes i could do over
wisdom
i’m still learning how to use

So raw in emotion. The switch from ‘them’ to ‘you’ halfway through pulls the reader deeper into the reflection very nicely.
P.C., revealing the truth of those deep places and spaces has a way of freeing spontaneity to flow, thank you for reading my poem!
Lovely. Intimacy is one of the things I love about poetry, the way it allows one person’s inner life to speak to another’s. We haven’t met, but your poem spoke to me.
Yes Tom, I agree the sensitive spaces and places allow me to dance inside out . . . and yet some how still under cover! Thank you for reading my poem.
I felt the rawness of this poem. Loved how the first stanza was a slow break down.
C.A. thank you for reading my poem. I appreciate how my words touched you . . . sometimes poetry can be a touch of velvet or a patch of sandpaper . . .
Raw authenticity voiced here. Rings true. Reminds me to open heart to all dear ones, no matter what form they currently inhabit. Grateful for your participation in Lexpomo
