old
old things
some are treasures
truly
others, simply old items left which don’t quite fit
the weight of age
what once was
now is, yet altered
trying to look ahead, embrace the now
which almost seems cliche
when so much
seems, and frankly is, old

for me, the lines “what once was / now is” echo the verse “As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end”
