Once upon a skipping stone
My spirit goes traveling
on a long black night
along a violin string
a slug trail
Bergamot lingering
peeling back the grass
caressing the silver and turquoise
the estranged desperados dropped
Heat from the horses back
pools of liquid brown
a barnfull of hay and sun slats
a bantam rooster
Tugging on the sinew
Tinging forest paths barefoot
Spaceships of hemlock
Banjos full of dry toast and pea gravy
