Photographer’s Heaven
It’s always early
morning or late
afternoon, light
& shadows crisp
as a glass of cold
Chablis, or else
the blue hour,
the crescent moon
a slice of lemon
in a sangria sky.
A stranger waits
till just the right
moment to dance
a jig on the street,
her face full of
joy, her head cocked
at the right angle
for you to click
the shutter open
& capture forever
one more perfect day.

Incredible set up!
The haikus flow perfectly and I agree with jst about the set-up. Both complex and simple which, of course, makes great poetry.
Lovely and surprising piece
I love how you pull philosophy from the photographer’s eye for the tension between light and shade
I love this. Set up and capture.
Snapshots and “that one perfect day”
Great imagery to evoke your photography craft.
I love how you compare the lighting/skies to inebriants…oh, how they can be absolute intoxicating!
I need to proofread my comments! My comment should read, “…absolutely intoxicating!”
I got the gist. Thanks, Carrie!
This is lovely- wine, dance and photography
I like the ease and movement of/between each visual, each a photo of its own.
Fan of this, especially the light & shadows crisp as a glass of cold Chablis. Your images are so visual, as befits the subject. do you have a web site with your photos?
I do indeed, Bill!

Nice! Great line breaks, especially in the first stanza.
I like the quick images like the click click click of a camera
