Every year this amazes me.
The privilege;
watching the new poems
land,
–immediate and still breathing–
is indescribable, a metaphor;
The cacophonous beat, clack
and thud of ancient oaks hard
masting in a new wind.
Dropping by the thousands, acorn
after acorn onto the as yet
unlittered forest floor.
——–
We will meet again next year,
may your endeavors be blessed until then.

” It’s only a dream away”
I’ve learned to read your poems singularly down the side to for hidden messages like “plant trees.” Your kaleidoscopic mind is a wonder! Thank you for joining me for this month of word wonder.
As always, you guide and delight my ” kaleidoscopic mind π thank you so much for your delicate hand on the leash π we again, were able to not scare the horses π
Yes to this. Love the metafor for all of us “masting in a new wind.”
Thank you for reading this month Shaun.
Yes !!! Me too …..” Masting in a new wind “
Plant tress
or let them grow wild upon the land.
Your poems do both
Thank you Jim π something happens
when the wild meets the domestic.
Sometimes it’s a horrible mess, but every once in a while a new survivability becomes.
Thank you! I have so enjoyed reading your poems.
That makes me all smiley and happy π have a wonderland of a year and we’ll see you soon π
Wonderful poem for the day before June 30. Thank you for this.
Thank you for sharing your work this month Mike. And thanks for reading mine. Have a great year.
My feelings exactly. I appreciate this perspective. It is right where I am at this moment in a far off AirB&B late at night just her to comment on others work. And You have read and commented on so much of my stuff (which I have not always done for you) but I appreciate you. And I appreciate your writing and effort and kindness. Great sentiment here. Thank you. Yessess and Yesssses!!
Thanks Jon, yeah I try to be judicious with my excitement at seeing these writings, still open and gleaming.
It gets silly and all I want to is twirl in the falling wet ink.
I do come back during the yeah and binge and your zombies are on my to watch list.
I get really busy during the year and don’t have a lot of time for poems.
Thank you and to anyone else that sees this. June in our house has become the season of miracle and wonder.
