Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin Patch
We returned to the classroom
after a field trip, and drew
pictures of something we found
interesting. I loved the pumpkins
scattered throughout the hillside.
The white ones were beautiful,
but I still like the “yellow orange”
ones. They make the best
Jack-O-Lanterns. Missy Johnson
drew a whole field of pumpkins.
Then she took a black crayon
and scribbled all over her paper.
Who is she mad at today?

Perhaps a halloween thought?
I can almost smell chalk dust and lunch bags.
Thank you for reading and commenting on my poem. Back in my day, Halloween was such a fun time.
a classic field trip, I was surprised when Missy scribbled over her own paper–not yours
Just wait. The plot thickens.
I love these seasonal memories you are putting in front of us. Cheers to Missy!
Thank you for your kind words! Stay tuned for more. What will become of Missy Johnson?
