Quaint Quatrain
Words of whimsy warble on
Singing songs so spritely,
Chides the children carrying on
Boldly, brashly, brightly.

I love this. Thank you so much. The alliteration in the first line feels like marching on command. Boldly, brashly, brightly – a charge that pushes the reader to a grand hurrah. 🎉🎉🎉
Excellent! Felt as if I was skipping while reading….
Gorgeous!
I love this quatrain, too, sound and meter! Would it also work with the singular “Chide”?
It probably could, and that might be an interesting way to play around with perspective! Like… the intent behind the warbling words vs the effect they seem to be having on a listener.
What energy there is in this poem!
What a joyful and whimsical piece! I love the use of alliteration.
Great trochees!! Creates a great engine for the playful words
A lovely, bouncing, spring alliteration!
This quatrain sings and glad to be reminded about terms I learned and forgot—another tool for poets who can find their tool box.
