Rock Bridge Loop
For Oscar Geralds, 1929-2018
On a trail some thirty years ago,
paying no attention
to the beauty around me,
yapping up a storm,
I asked Oscar what he he considered to be
the best years in a person’s life.
Hiking in front of me,
he answered quietly,
“right now.”

Living in the moment. Wonderful!
Yes! Paying attention and appreciating the present is a gift! Thank you for this!
How true!
Funny, my therapist’s name isn’t Oscar but he sure sounds like him.
Great memory of what sounds like a great guy.Well done.
So true! I love it!
Wise man! A simple tribute that tells us a lot about why he was your friend.
