Silence
I do not believe
Silence is stagnant
Silence births
stillness
Stillness births
space
Room for
processing
Room for
daydreaming
I do not believe
gurus who spout
Lists.
Goals.
Time management.
I need silence—
that pause between moments
To slip into the meandering stream
of my thoughts, images and colors
Not to seek
the ultimate truth or answer
But to unearth
the peace of perspective.

The poem recalls for me the bible line about “the peace that surpasses all understanding”
I also need this silence/space to process. Daydreaming is so important.
I like the declarative nature of this poem and especially —“room for daydreaming” — ! I am all for that…It allows the imagination to expand —and write poems—like this one! Thank you Lisa!
