Single Purpose
A friend came to visit she brought hot chocolate & scones we discussed issues of class & being clear about our vision at noon I went to an alanon meeting a blend of addicts & those whose loved ones are addicts their words were worth listening to as they were all telling origin stories they may have been politically & spiritually different but deep inside we were all the same are these the people you say are not a good fit?

I love the spaces and the non punctuation gives it a wispy pondering feeling.
The ending with a question mark is perfectly placed.
Another chapter in the story.
This has a great “day in the life” tone. I love it that it feels so ordinary. The question at the end is so great.
Well done! Liked the origin stories and the ending.
The last line is a gut punch (in the best way). Thanks for sharing.
Lovely poetic exploration of connection. Nice writing, Laverne.
