Sourdough Magic or I’m Making Blueberry Bagels This Week, So Come On By
A few free-floating bacteria
and a pinch of wild yeast —who
would think that plain-spoken
mixture packs enough punch
to magic a kilo of dough into
shiny crust circling air-pocketed
innards that pillow tangy twilight-
blue orbs? But after all, the best
miracles are the simplest.

Sounds delicious! I’ll be right there!
I’ve seen your baking photos on Facebook, you sorceress. I need a pinch of your magic in my recipes.
Oh, Kevin, your dishes and breads always look picture perfect to me!
love:
A few free-floating bacteria
and a pinch of wild yeast
and:
if I could I would be waiting to have them once cooled from the oven!
“pillow tangy twilight” is so good. Nice work!
What a delicious poem.
Those first and last lines make the poem!
Really like that you start with bacteria & then make the poem into something delicious, just like bread.
