The meadow of Creative Justice
opens to a lemonade stand:
5 sand dollars buys you a paper cupful
and a smile. Unseen editors delegate
over what to pull, to preen, to publish:
Down a rabbit
hole we fall,
citrused by
our karma:
cutting fears
and fixed
to the right
timing;
believing,
discovering
personal
emerald
kindling.

I like it Tabitha. It flows and conjures images. I’m not sure I understand the title, though.
Appreciate your input! This poem references my experience of the feeling of submitting work to editors, thus the title.
Blessings!
love it all: the lemonade stand, the unseen editors, the visual rabbit hole
So grateful for you, Gaby!
And grateful you found this experience tasty (with hidden bits).
Thanks for coming down the rabbit hole.
Blessings.
I love your word choices. “citrused by/our karma” is so cool to me. Love “what to pull, to preen, to publish:”
Shaun,
That means so much!
I used a number of Paint Chip Poetry cards on this piece. But everything you pointed to emerged from writing around them, not relying solely them.
Thanks for the read and your thoughts, as always.
Blessings.
I love the ideas here–and the many ways I find myself “interpreting” them — and the title. Every word has impact!
“The meadow of Creative Justice” — wow.
Thank you, Michele.
This one felt good to draft and polish up. Glad the effect of every word holds merit!
Keep interpreting all the possibilities! Here, there, and everywhere!
Blessings.
Very creative!
Linda,
Thank you! That Meadow of Creative Justice has a spot for ALL of us.
I’ve brought my blanket for a picnic with you here any time.
Blessings.
