Tell me, Am I a bad person?
Am I a bad person?
You don’t know me and I don’t know you
But we are always quick to judge, even ourselves
I have stole, that is bad
But it was necessary for my survival
I have lied, that is bad
But it was necessary for my survival
I have hurt, that is bad
But it was necessary for my survival
My physical needs scraped by
All of these little things make up a person
I have given, that is good
It was necessary for survival
I have been open, that is good
It was necessary for survival
I have helped, that is good
It was necessary for survival
My emotional needs thrived on saving others
I was doing only what I wish someone had done for me
So tell me,
Am I a bad person?

That is great. I like the rhythm of necessities.
Thanks so much!
Repetition works quite well! No you are not a bad person- only human.
Thanks! I think we always need that reminder, we are human.
I think all people can do good and bad things. I try to do more good and less bad. You poem shows a high level of self-awareness that is a gift–nicely done, Sunny!
Lovely, thoughtful!
