Temptation
There is a red apple,
hanging low
and alone
on a naked branch
of an aged, diseased
William’s Pride Apple tree.
From the porch
it looks perfect,
tempting me to walk
in flip flops,
across the overgrown
tick and chigger
infested lawn.

Ohhhh I know this porch—where is the wind chime and yellow chair?! Probably no wind, still and calm and you are sitting in that cheer—tempted! You are right to stay up! I love this poem Toni!!! We needful images and line that the only color mentioned is red and those flip flops!!!!!
I meant chair, but cheers too!
Gosh my autocorrect went wild—we needful images?! I meant I like the images and description of a moment on a porch
