Hike back to the car
Pick up something forgotten
Up on this hillside
Climbs up from the sea
Through the labrynth
Dense homes and twisted oak
That sound
Not cars, wind or rain
Ocean waves, crashing

Title speaks to the final line: “Ocean waves, crashing.” Strong word choice allows reader to hear the sound of those waves. Ocean’s rhythm inherent throughout the poem in line length. The pairing of those lines represents back and forth action of the waves. Thank you for sharing
