THE CIRCLE
THE CIRCLE
Trees and grasses help make the wind.
They move it, it moves them.
All makes a circle
–creations and creators forever bound
in the circle
round
and round…

I love the image connecting creators and creations.
Thanks, Gaby
I, too enjoy the metaphor. I fuss at the second ’round.’ Takes me into a kids’ song, one of those that we sing in rounds. I would rather see the word as itself, more deeply. But that is me, and I want to discover the reason for the repetition. The simplicity of the images makes me see the wind in action, changing.
Rae, thanks for a great question. All I can say
is that the repetition is suggestive of an endless
interaction of all things. It never stops, hence
“round and round.” Also, it prevents the the poem
from ending abruptly and disrupting the rhythm
(i.e., It just sounds better to me.) Wish I could
give you a better answer…
