the grey sets in
it is said the city never sleeps
but rather it trudges on
through the centuries
as the grey sets in
and the rats gnaw its old bones

I see a recurring theme in your poems of time, time passing and these poems being little moments in the grand scheme of life. I think your style suits this. It reminds me of Mary Oliver – how observant and descriptive these poems are, allowing the reader to just be in that moment briefly. Well done!
