The Sheriff & the Outlaw #3
sharing with me his gaping hole
where the baby tooth had turned the tide
from toddlerhood to begin the stroll
towards the metaphoric side of childhood.
“Do you see it Nana?”
When asked his thoughts, Outlaw spoke
to Mommy, “I am in love!”
with his wide blue eyes riveted to soak
her with his charm to disarm.
When asked with who
he blinked and said, “With you
my Mommy dear!”
always bending her ear.

I love your use of characters. And the stories that are told in just 2 stanzas!
charm to disarm
