Tide Riders
Creatures of a species
of another place’s
origin
Ride the rails
or hitch a ship
or sleep inside
the package,
delivered by tide,
then scampering free,
observe the world
with false hospitality,
eating their way
into our wreckage

You stuck the landing — great ending. Is there a branch of poetry called Post Apocolyptic? I think you are writing in that category or something close to it. Love this little stunner.
Eating/way/wreckage in those last two lines! Nice stuff.
