Time
DONG you wake up just in time to hear
the grandfather clock strike
1 in the morning.
When you get to work
you hear DONG DONG DONG
it’s 3 o’ clock you get to work straight away.
Later you hear DONG DONG DONG DONG
DONG DONG DONG it’s 7 in the afternoon–you go
home and go to bed ready to start another day.

I love this! It’s so very true.
Dadaism is alive and and well in abra mccurry
Typically, I have a strong aversion to time-telling devices, but this poem changes everything I thought I knew about them. <3
Love this!
Good line breaks – good sound – good poem!
Oh Abra! This makes me think of all the mornings we are rushing to get to school and work. I’m glad it’s summer and there’s plenty of time for snuggles and adventures.
Summer is definitely a nice break from daily alarms, bells signaling class changes, etc. Enjoy it!
Nice working showing how we are slaves to time
