Trees Are Worthy of a Soul Today
The sun has pounded the earth today.
Older trees claim the deepest water today.
I read “I, Too” by Langston Hughes today.
It’s a good day to listen today.
Equality for all today.
May we all come in ranked-first today.
I learned that postcards are textile text today.
How to make perfect corners when sewing, I learned that today.
We all deserve quality air, clean water, and housing today.
Let us all love song birds, at 5am, today.
Perhaps you’ve wondered about song birds all day today.
I’ve chair-ed way too much today.
Now I’m off to weed beneath a pine tree today.

These are supposed to be couplets. I’m too tired to sort it out. Hour & a half weeding just before dark today.
These are couplets-they are just looking for something. ❤️
I enjoyed the beat of this poem!
Beautiful couplets! Love the repetition of ‘today’ and especially:
I’ve chair-ed way too much today.
Enjoyed this! I love to “chair too much”! This reads like a sweet prayer.
