Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
I usually only title them if something comes to mind as I write. Titles are a problem for me in general. I even feel weird calling people by their names unless I know them well. I dunno why.
Don’t worry. They will come. To me titles are like a doorway into your poem. You can paint it a certain color or put a wreath on it or anything. It’s nice to welcome people at the door instead of having them crawl through the window. Your poems are really good. Titles can add another level. I look forward to reading more of your work, titled or not!
Amen.
Right?!
Perfect.
Thanks! 💜
Exactly.

Nicely done! I hope you will reconsider titles. They can add so much to a poem.
