Variations of Haiku for A Poet
Listening to a poet speak of
the winds of change and the
unrelentless purpose of imagery.
Images engage readers to travel to
enticing destinations, secret lands
amid the drenching of time.
Don’t overestimate yourself.
Don’t cry in your morning coffee.
Don’t fall at the end of the marathon.
Write the happenings.
Write the happines
Write the happenstance.
Capture the fragrance of the dense
woods and swirl it around on a
batton to bless those that hear.
The poet used a camera, its lense full of images
to challenge the balance of the universe.

This is just lovely, Lee! Love the third stanza, though all are worth reading over and over!
Thank you.
