Walk Off or Knuckle Ball Love
I stood
in the box and watched
lie after lie find everything
but where I want it
in front of me
I wait
My patience seen as weakness
is that of a cheetah
I see that two seamer
losing some speed
drifting back over the zone
looking for a full count
Now
Barrel meet ball
The crack you
heard
and the look
I gave
is why
you should have
thrown at my head

This one screams off the bat!
That one’s outta here! Love me some baseball poetry. 🙂
I’ve enjoyed reading your poems this month.
