When Asked What We Are Made Of, I Said Mostly Bugs
The little bugs come with orchids oh
The little bugs come with dreams
The little bugs come in eyelashes
And inside all your seams
The little bugs swim the water oh
The little bugs creep the land
The little bugs do the little things you
and I can’t understand

This is adorable. Sounds like a buggy little lullaby.
What Chelsie said. I found myself singing along.
This was at once adorable…and cringe 😂. *shudders* as a fellow overthinker, I protest! 😂
Beautifully done, rhyming and music with, as Joseph says, the “cringe”!
Agree with all! I can hear the music while cringing!
I love the use of repetition here!
I agree with everyone; there is such a musical quality to this poem. Beautiful, Arwen!
For the record the bugs are very creepy to me as well lol
There should most definitely be a dance, well choreographed, that plays on a children show that will, 30 years from now, live in the minds of parents who are singing this ditty to their children as they fall asleep.
