Winter
Deconstructs my front yard
with every flake sticking
to branch tree leaf stone
grass hollow and hole
working hard to obscure
hope
But the birds
keep leaving tracks
slices impressions scars
surfacing seeds below
snow

There’s hope in the birds!
love this winter poem, on what is shaping up to be the hottest day ever.. 🙂
love imaging the birds “surfacing seeds”
a cool poem on a hot day. Bernard, I like your free form imagery that flows like stones to the ocean
What a good day to consider winter
Like the use of the title as first line and great imagery and hope.
I like.
