Woman of the House
there has been an invasion
in the quiet moments of
my solitude-
in the beautiful chaos
of our daily grind–
there has been an uninvited guest
sitting on my throne
taking what is mine-
beloved and betrothed.
there has been an invasion
into my identity
to the security of my well built walls,
to all that has become me,
to what I call home.
oh, you clever thief-
you imposter, you jealous little girl–
let me teach you
the most important lesson
you will ever learn-
you may have played
make-believe in my house,
fluffing my bed with flatterly & lies-
but the love you thought you had
will forever be mine-
for you were a cute little play thing,
and I will remain the Woman of my home.

Powerful! Bravo!
???
A journey to where you already were?
I was expecting Goldielocks…
This is a brave poem!
