Yesterday I wrote
Yesterday I wrote my best poem
And, dear reader, I believe you’ll be pleased and thankful to know
That right near the end, as I was attempting to make sure all my
brackets and parentheses were closed
I hit the back key and all was lost (I hate my phone, always)
What a great poem it was – it might have changed the world
or maybe just a few thoughts in just one person
It was so tight, so information rich yet so clear
Even I understood it
But it’s gone, except for the asterisk*

Hello, talented Maysville-area poets! This Lexingtonian was Mason County born and raised. I have loved reading all the wonderful poetry put forth by your affiliated writers. I love my hometown!
Great way to write out of disaster! I often have those wonderful thoughts in the middle of the night that are erased by morning. Fun read!
That’s funny! True wit.
“Even I understood it” 😂
=) vanished in the twinkling of an eye, a puff of smoke or a vapor in the air!
Love the remainder!
