I signed up because I am very excited to be included in this wonderful poet-driven community.
Poetry allows L. a creative outlet to express emotions and benefit from its healing energies. While not identifying as a poet or a writer, L. feels compelled to write because it opens doors, opens eyes, opens hearts. Writing poetry resonates personally deep inside, rippling concentric circles to community, state, country, planet, ancestors (past, present, and future) and all beings.
I enjoy writing in community, reading and commenting on other poets’ work and receiving their feedback on my work.
For too many years, I have been dreaming about being part of LEXPOMO and sharing my poems with fellow writers. In the spirit of Mr. Keating’s Dead Poets Society, it is time to Carpe Diem.
Friend and fellow writer Michele Lenoir told me about LexPoMo and encouraged me to sign up. I always enjoy a challenge and any method that will “force” me to sit down with pen and paper.
