THEY DIDN’T CARE
They seemed loyal enough,
They seemed conscientious enough,
They did their jobs.
But when push came to shove,
They didn’t care.
It wasn’t much to ask,
Maybe an inconvenience,
An hour or two out of their lives.
But it was a matter of life and death,
And they didn’t care.

My old music teacher.. multitalented Indeed.
. . .and they look so normal those that don’t care.
Thoughtful and provoking poem.
Sad and haunting and true.
Thank you. Looks like you’ve been busy. Keep up the good work.
