Sea Wolves
There are wolves
in British Columbia
who slip from forest
to sea
and swim miles
in the cool green blue
to lap salt-rich eggs from kelp
and rip barnacles from their moors.
Can I, too,
enter into the waters
enter into the waters
and howl across the sun-jagged waves
and leave the land behind?

Lovely!
Yes! This is a wonderful poem. The image of wolves swimming for miles is so strong
I love this. Like Kris said, the image of swimming wolves is so good, and I like how it ends with a question.
Wonderful descriptions. I can taste the salty sea near British Columbia.
And to answer the question at the end, I would say yes, you can leave the land behind, cause you did that for us with your poetry.
Never heard of these wolves til now, in these wonderful few lines.
