Bio for 2025

Mario Felice is a musician and singer/songwriter who has called Lexington, Kentucky home for most of his life. While music is his primary craft, his deep love for language and lyrical expression naturally led him to poetry. Known for being meticulous with phrasing and intent, Mario treats words with the same care he gives to melodies. Lexington Poetry Month is his way of stepping beyond the stage and exploring a new form of creative storytelling.

Reason for signing up:

My friend has been participating in Lexington Poetry Month for years, and I’ve always found it inspiring. I’ve been curious about it for a while, but this is the first year I finally decided to take the leap. As a musician and lyricist, I’ve always been drawn to the power of words, and this felt like the perfect challenge to stretch that part of my creativity in a new way.
