A SECOND VERSE FOR I’M GONNA WALK TO NEWFOUNDLAND
Well I made my trek from April to October
Got turned round wound up in Manitoba
Tried to go back home but couldn’t cross the border
So I guess I’ll stay until I’m frozen over
I’ll lament the life the alcohol’s been stealing
Till the frost bite burns are the only warmth I’m feeling

Very visceral. I love how weighty everything you put on the page feels.
A beautifully economical share full of an experience so many have that is so hard to put into words in ways that people who don’t have that experience have a hard time understanding. Thank you for sharing this bridge and witness-bearing to the experience.
