Thumbprint of The Architect
Lightning bursting through the sky
Bright and brilliant and then it’s gone
Branches growing high and wide
Absorbing sun’s rays, emitting air
Delta fanning out to sea
Raging, rushing torrential currents
Vessels running from the heart
Pumping and coursing life all throughout
Bronchi spreading through the lung
Breathing deeply and expelling air
Nerve ends shooting down the skin
Sensations felt what the heart cannot
Neurons forming in the mind
Personality. Creation. Love.
All of it

Beautiful 🙂
Nice. Love thumbprint as metaphor. Also, good choices and variety in the “ing” verbs. (Don’t remember the “proper” grammatical term!)
Wow—this poem makes me feel witness to some kind of miracle…like birth..and being Alive..
Amazing!
Love the title.
Especially love, “Bronchi spreading through the lung
Breathing deeply and expelling air”
Breath is how we remain in this world, yes?
Creation at its finest! Thank you for this.
I love the “descent” into a microscopic world–beautifully crafted!
Eric, great metaphor!
The Architect at work. Your words flow so well into the ending lines creating a sense of calm.
