(auction block sold seperately)
all of my written words:
a river of blackbodies
on an ocean floor.
in my bones is where atlantis
lives / our black apothecary.
the translation of tactile shadows,
a jujusynthesis on the open page,
walking out the charlie horse
from prismatic chimurenga.
a libation walking;
i am land / mine.
happy to be the heretic
for you. reassembling
afro-africa in the ruins
of our collective memory;
my racial profile a cowry, a cameo,
a prose for concrete in a land
built atop shadows of the surreal.

That first stanza is so good. I love the line I am land / mine.
You had me at the title, but then the language creates a world of its own.
in my bones is where atlantis
lives / our black apothecary.
(Gives a thumbs up to TNH)
the translation of tactile shadows- that’s a book title, my friend.
Nicely done. Any poem that makes me immediately go back to the beginning to read it again has served its purpose.
The ending is strong and took me back to the beginnin as Douglas E. noted.
Excellent. Wow. Independent, youthful, and uprising. Lots of juicy mojo revolution in the bones here.
great. “jujusynthesis” is my new favorite word.
thanks yall.
