Badges are an identifier of some sort of activity. We don’t consider them “achievements” or “trophies” in their own right, as finding validation from a digital reward shouldn’t be inherently fulfilling. (Although a lifetime playing video games has certainly taught me otherwise. – Bronson)
Currently, we have assigned badges to Participants, which are people who have published at least one (1) poem during Lexington Poetry Month to LexPoMo.com, and Supporters, who are people who have financially contributed to Workhorse, which keeps the LexPoMo Writing Challenge going.
If you don’t see a specific badge underneath your avatar or on your registration page, you may need to go to your Dashboard’s Badges page and check the “Public Visibility” box next to it. Some people may not want to display their activities, so all badges default to “hidden”.
