A Prayer
(Golden shovel from morning mantra prescribed by a kindly monk on a peace walk)
Today
so many will
fall to our greed. Tiny one, may you be
held safe in the strong pine, not to please me or my
kind, but for caterpillars and rain, for peaceful
morning sunbeams, for your summery Chicka-dee-dee day.

I love the way you ask for the tiny one to be held safe.
Thank you, Jeremy.
Delightfully reverent, Elaine. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you, Nancy!
Beautiful thoughts (and prayer).

I echo the comments of those before me.
Especially love “may you be
held safe in the strong pine,”
May it be so,
I appreciate your comments, Pam. Indeed, may it be so…
