I get an ominous feeling from this, which probably just says a lot about me. 😏
Only that you are good at picking up feeling 🙂
A lot to unpack from a sentence like this!
Yep.
I agree with Kevin’s ominous. Wonder who the sinner is in your story, Pam?
I, like y’all, ride this train to find out 🙂
We might just be glad for the sinners!!
Ahhhhh….
This train holds many complexities y’all 🙂
Love your thoughts!

lol so many ways to look at this simple sentence! I lean toward the ominous smile, Tell the conductor I’m not getting off this train!
lol, will do!
Love your ongoing project and dedication. Here the juxtaposition of wading and sinners is not to be overlooked. And really, just the use of wading in this way, which I had never thought about before as a liturgical duty. I also see these people (male religious leaders in the Baptist “south”) as on par with used car salesman, so “he smiles like” contains a nefarious tone.
🙂
Yeah, this scenario feels ominous to me, too. I wonder what your plan is for these gems.
Yes, love this. It says so much!
