Bird’s-Eye View
Perched on the potted oleander
the titmouse tilts her tufted head
peruses the not so pert human
drinking tea on the porch.
She wonders where the wings are
and the black oil sunflower seeds?
All she sees spread before
said human are pen and paper.

Love the “t” and “p” sounds in the first stanza of your charming persona poem.
Thanks, Gaby!
I love bird poems. “Not so pert human” is really nice. I wonder what she would think if she knew you were writing about her!
The music of this poem is wonderful!
Love the sounds and images. Short, but speaks volumes!
Wonderful sounds throughout!
