Celebrate Childhood
Could we ignore
elation of age?
Landmark moments,
entrances into adulthood,
but what we lose is
regretted, forgotten,
alienated for survival,
tremendously irreplaceable.
Everlastingly cherish instead
Childhood.

This holds both celebration and mourning in balance. I also like how ‘Childhood’ feels like both a declaration and a prayer. Great piece!
