Clutter
Stuck in traffic behind a Jeep
whose back window was filled
with numerous stickers too small
to read. How does he see?
Is his house this cluttered?
Is he a hoarder?
Is his mind this chaotic
with superficial, shallow thoughts?

Oh, I just love this! I’ve wondered countless things while driving, especially when passing vehicles like the one you describe in this poem. I wonder about the drivers, the passengers, their destination(s), etc.
What a great read!
thanks! had time to ponder in the traffic!
Nice, Linda! I love tracking your thought process here, into the dark…
What a wonderful reflection during traffic.
Great visual.

An engaging read with questions that lead to other questions. I love that you took advantage of sitting in traffic to write this poem.
Yes, we all read those stickers. I’m amazed there aren’t more accidents!
You capture well what I do when stuck in traffic!
Love the questions building on each other.
Great reflective build – and yes, those bumperstickers are fraught!
Love the questions! My grandsons started putting stickers all over my car – I put a stop to the ones on the windows!!
I had some spare time and was excited to check to see if some of my favorite writers had uploaded yet today— I am glad you did, Linda! 💜 I find myself asking so many of the same things in traffic these days 😂
