Dear Hollywood
We warbled off key
Before the round hall mirror
Oh, what stars we were

I see it! I hear it! Stars.
What a vision!
Delightful, whimsical haiku. I also see and hear these stars.
Trilling in the self-contained happiness of the mirror!
love the old fashioned feel lent by the “round” hall mirror
Perfect haiku!
Love the warble, Sylvia!
Wonderful off key warble!
Cool haiku
Love this snapshot!
Music creates community embodied in “We” warbled. As far as being off-key, as long as you’re having fun (“what stars we were”), that’s all that matters. Thanks, Sylvia
Thanks for the comments! We are not a singing family. In fact, we give each other the gift of NOT singing Happy Birthday on special days. We just kind of mumble and quickly blow out the candles.
A charming, nostalgic little gem, Sylvia. A memory of my niece comes to mind when I read it.
The “hall mirror” captures more than just the reflection in this poem!
