Departure at Dawn
(after Li Bai)
stately sailing ships
of morning light
glide above the place
of the garden’s circle
and artichokes planted
yesterday at dark
past the climbing vines
of ruby moon hyacinth
past the unmade bed
of tall asparagus
a single soul goes
along the further row

I love the these three words together — ruby moon hyacinth
Wonderful stuff.
Oh my !
What a way to go. Gentle and wild.
This is gorgeous, Jim!
That “further row” is a gem, Jim.

of green and
brown!
past the unmade bed

Lovely observation of the “single soul” as part of the garden.
