Sponsored by Workhorse, Lexington Poetry Month is an easy to use
platform for poets to publish and share their work in an attractive
way. The community is supportive and diverse, commenting and
encouraging one another throughout June. Money we raise goes
to maintaining the cost of the website and publishing the yearly
anthology. Our goals are to provide every poet (~150) a copy of
the anthology, lower printing costs, and expand opportunities
offered during Lexington Poetry Month, such as featured readings
and poetry workshops.
i like how much this feels like a newpaper story.
Funny, since was a reporter for many years. 🙂
I like how there’s a whole, rich dynamic between mother and son in these three short lines. Conjures up so much.
i really like how you were able to sum up the story and create a dynamic between the boy and his mother in such a controlled form 💗
Hide it from mother is always the goal. Lovely work.
I love the sound play of haiku most, here especially how lines wrap around. good stuff Lindy Lou-Who. 💛
love the packed emotion
Compressed dynamite
It happens.
But a mother always knows, right? 😏

Yes, the mother always sees.
