Half Full
They are going bad.
I don’t know if
I’ll have to throw away
half a box of strawberries
because I can’t seem to
eat them fast enough
or because it is predetermined:
I only will eat so many
but–
Law of Strawberry or nature of time–
they don’t taste half so good
without you.

I like the ending a lot =) This was well made.
(As an aside, strawberries last a lot longer if you give them a vinegar bath when you get back from the store, to kill the fungus.)
I love how the debate isn’t over whether or not the strawberries should be thrown out, as that is already predetermined, but the debate is over why the strawberries must be thrown out.
Also helps to separate them with layers of paper towels
like the poem diagnosis of problem
I like how you take something so simple as rotting strawberries and compare it to something so complex.
